Technogym harnesses its Mywellness platform to help clubs with re-opening plans
Equipment giant Technogym has introduced a number of new features to its Mywellness platform, aimed at helping health clubs and gyms emerge back to business from the COVID-19 lockdowns.
The additions focus on assisting gym operators to adhere to the likely restrictions on every-day operations – such as social distancing measures.
Members at clubs with the Mywellness system will be offered the opportunity to book their preferred training spots in advance, which will help operators streamline reception operations, while also creating confidence among members in the club's safety measures.
Members will also be able to "spot book" their space for group classes, with each exerciser being able to safely workout on their own spot. The spaces can then also be visually highlighted by markers and/or accessories.
To help clubs redesign their layouts – to allow social distancing – they can also utilise Technogym's Biocircuit, which automatically sets up equipment, workload, pace and rest time for each user.
Separately, Technogym has also released a marketing tool designed to help operators manage the phase immediately after lockdown. It includes a suggested Code of Conduct to maintain before, during and after the workout. To access the tool, click here.
Earlier this year, Technogym enabled club operators to offer at-home training and coaching services to members remotely via Mywellness.
