No one likes to dwell on things that could happen but it's good, as the boy scouts say, to be prepared!
St John's Ambulance, the UK's leading first aid charity has put together an extremely worthwhile first aid course tailored specifically for the hospitality industry.
The one day workshop takes place in London at either their Chelsea or Marylebone training centre and specifically addresses the everyday risks faced by people working in the catering industry.
Offering comprehensive training on risk and incident management, sprains and strains, minor and major cooking related burns, hygiene, poisons, bleeds, choking, shock and CPR it is an extensive round up of many potential dangers that could be faced in your work place environment, and more importantly, how best to respond to them.
The course costs just £100.00 (plus VAT) and equips you with the vital must have knowledge to respond to incidents in the most effective and safe manner and really is a must attend for those in the industry.
All attendees receive a first aid certificate which is valid for three years as well as the knowledge and confidence to deal with first aid issues in a restaurant environment.
