By Pete Hayman    10 Jan 2011

Plans to develop a new community stadium in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire are to be considered by the local authority.

Wycombe District Council's (WDC) cabinet will meet on 17 January to decide whether to progress the Air Park scheme, which could also include a new "Sports Village" A report due to go before the cabinet has identified Wycombe Air Park as the site with the "most potential" for the stadium, while also calling for community sports facilities.

WDC leader Lesley Clarke said: "The consultation showed that the majority of people who took part thought that a new Sports Village and Community Stadium should be located at Wycombe Air Park." The new stadium would provide a home for Wycombe Wanderers Football Club and London Wasps rugby union team.
