The chief executive of franchise chain énergie Fitness Clubs, Jan Spaticchia, has won second place in the South Region finals of the Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2006.

The awards are split into nine categories and Spaticchia was selected as a finalist for Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year.

“The category recognises individuals who have launched and grown a successful business in under five years,” said Spaticchia.

“énergie Fitness Clubs is a developing brand both at home and overseas and it is fantastic that the success has been officially acknowledged in this way.”

Founded in 2003, énergie now operates 15 énergie Fitness Clubs and one énergie Fitness For Women and is currently looking at overseas expansion.
