Waverley Borough Council (WBC) has announced that a new £6m facility in Godalming, Surrey, is to open its doors "well ahead of the planned schedule" on 30 July.
ISG has been responsible for delivering the Pozzoni-designed Godalming Leisure Centre, which will include a 60-station fitness suite on the first floor. DC Leisure is the operator.
The gym will boast nearly 40 stations of cardiovascular equipment and around 20 stations of resistance equipment, with users able to tailor sessions to tone, build up muscle and improve fitness.
Facilities also include a large dance studio that can be split into two spaces, as well as a six-lane, 25m swimming pool with spectator seating and a learner pool.
WBC councillor responsible for leisure Julia Potts said: "Opening just days after the start of the Olympics is likely to further increase the demand on the excellent facilities at the new Godalming Leisure Centre."
