The Arena Group helped tournament organisers to transform the O2 Arena into a championship tennis venue when it played host to the ATP World Tour Finals last month.

This was the second year of a five-year contract for which Arena Structures and Arena Seating expanded the temporary overlay and hospitality areas for the annual event.

The extended features included a Fan Zone, which comprised a 40m x 50m TFS structure – housing two practice tennis courts and 400 tiered seats and led to the IMG and tennis family areas inside a 20m x 40m structure.

The custom-designed media boxes, designed to fit into the O2 Arena for last year’s event, were reused this year to help reduce the event’s carbon footprint. These incorporated broadcast studios for the BBC and Sky, communication pods and photographer booths. The modular boxes can also be reconfigured for subsequent events.
