Seating company Audience Systems is to provide 2,000 retractable auditorium seats as part of a £165m expansion of London's ExCel Arena.

The Espace 628CC (Conference Comfort, pictured) is a sprung seat designed especially for long-term use by conference delegates.

The seats themselves can be configured in six different layouts on retractable platforms in order to meet the needs of each event or conference.

James Mark, ExCeL's services & 2012 games director says: "The Audience Systems team has worked very hard in partnership with our team throughout the specification process and we are confident that they will deliver a first class product for our delegates that meets all the stringent specifications we have asked for."
