Drainage and landscaping specialist ACO Technologies has developed the ACO GroundGuard®, designed to protect landscaped areas that are heavily used.

Consisting of an open grid, 'honeycomb' structure, it allows grass to be seeded or an area to be back-filled with gravel with the ability to support 250 tonnes per square metre.

Said to be ideal for golf clubs and the like, GroundGuard can be used to create access routes, pathways, car parks or disabled access routes.

Manufactured from recycled polymer, the lightweight slabs measure 4cm deep, 60cm long and 40cm wide.
