Habitual partners with Hussle to offer flexible fitness access for weight loss programme members
Hussle, the country’s largest flexible fitness platform, has announced a new national partnership with Habitual, the UK’s leading digital weight loss programme combining GLP-1 medication with behaviour change support.
The collaboration offers Habitual members free access to thousands of gyms, pools and spas across the UK, helping to make movement more accessible as part of a holistic approach to weight loss.
With more than two billion adults who are overweight or living with obesity around the world – at an elevated risk of conditions such as type 2 diabetes and heart disease – the need for comprehensive, long-term care has never been greater.
While GLP-1 medications such as semaglutide (Wegovy) and tirzepatide (Mounjaro) are proven to support weight loss by reducing appetite and improving blood sugar regulation, they are most effective when paired with lifestyle interventions, such as exercise and dietary changes.
Recent studies have shown that a significant portion of weight lost from taking GLP-1 medications may come from lean body mass, including muscle. Losing muscle is a risk factor for frailty, metabolic slowdown, and reduced physical resilience.
Bone density reduction can also be a concern, especially among older adults on GLP-1. Cardiovascular and resistance-based exercise are both essential in maintaining muscle mass, improving outcomes and supporting sustainable weight loss.
This partnership between Habitual and Hussle removes a common barrier to exercise: accessibility. By integrating flexible gym, pool and spa options into its subscription, Habitual is enabling members to incorporate movement into their routine on their terms, whether close to home, work or while travelling.
The Hussle partnership is included in Habitual’s Medication Plan, which provides access to clinically prescribed GLP-1 medications; daily behaviour change lessons via the Habitual app; discounts on high-protein shakes, electrolytes, and supplements; as well as monthly medical check-ins and pharmacist-led care.
Lawrence King, director of strategic partnership, Hussle, said: “We are delighted to commence this partnership with Habitual, as another key step in Hussle’s mission to better shape the health and wellness of the nation. As the use of GLP-1 medications continues to increase, the need to supplement these programmes with lifestyle interventions, such as exercise, will be paramount.
“The synergies that Hussle can deliver through its nationwide fitness network in collaboration with EGYM’s smart fitness technology puts us in a unique position to support the growing GLP-1 user community across the UK and abroad,” King added.
Napala Pratini, CEO, Habitual, said: “At Habitual, we believe that sustainable weight loss is about daily habits that stick. No single behaviour change tactic, diet or exercise plan works for everyone on the Habitual programme. We know that each of us requires something different for our mental and physical health on any given day.
“By partnering with Hussle, we’re making it easier for our members to build movement into their routine in a way that’s flexible, accessible and empowering while aligning to their own, unique exercise preferences,” added Pratini.
A growing number of organisations across the UK are making the decision to partner with Hussle to offer their employees and members access to flexible fitness. For more information about Hussle fitness benefits, visit their website.
Together, Habitual and Hussle are helping more people build healthier lives, one habit at a time.
