Les Mills launches HIIT workout and Smartbar
Les Mills UK has launched the Grit Series, its first High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) product at Leisure Industry Week 2012.
It is designed to provide a platform for operators to maximise revenue around small group team training while helping to attract and retain younger club members.
The series includes three 30 minute high intensity workouts: Strength (to build muscle); Plyo (to build a lean, athletic body) and Cardio (to burn fat). Each of the three programs can be run on the club floor, sports court, circuit room, or even outdoors.
Meanwhile, Les Mills has released its new Smartbar barbell weights system with ‘gator’ fastening mechanism for speedy weight transitions. It boasts an ergonomic handlebar design and the ‘gator’ fastening mechanism has retractable teeth. It can hold three 22lb (10kg) weight plates in place at each end.
Les Mills Smartbar is designed to be used in its Bodypump classes or anywhere you would ordinarily use a barbell weights system, such as the gym floor. A resistance tube can be easily attached to the bar, allowing users to get a full body workout using just this equipment.
LES MILLS workouts can also be experienced beyond gym walls with the LES MILLS On Demand online streaming service.
