Playrite surfacing for Titans of Cricket event
A substantial £100,000 investment in its sports surfaces manufacturing processes by Playrite has paid dividends.
The investment included adding a further 15ft loom and ensuring that all the machinery required was available in house.
The company also increased training and labour so that all the steps of making Woven products, from processing the yarn to creating the final surface, is controlled in-house, on-site in West Yorkshire.
Sales director Chris Pickles said: "Our investment will ensure we have complete control over the products we make for the long term future, resulting in the best surfaces for our valued customers."
A recent project saw Playrite working with Networld to install 1300sq m of Practice Play Junior at the Titans of Cricket Arena.
Titans of Cricket saw four teams battling it out in the Titans' Indoor Arena. England, India, Pakistan and Australia undertook five extreme challenges, providing the ultimate test of cricketing skills.
Playrite’s Practice Play Junior was put to the test in the installation. One of the company's longest established products, the surface has been adapted and modified over the years to suit a range of different applications and requirements.
