TRIB3 International Ltd

About us
Established in 2016, TRIB3 is a unique boutique fitness concept bringing people together through next-level workout experiences. One 45-minute HIIT session with three elements: Treadmills, Resistance and Intensity (TRI) underpinned by performance tracking technology, a custom shake bar and retail.

What’s the main USP of your franchise?
Community. TRIB3 was created first and foremost to bring people together. All our stores feature a lounge area and mixology bar where you’ll find our TRIB3Rs winding down after a session or attending one of our legendary TRIBAL Gatherings. The most special part of the TRIB3 experience is our bespoke journey which celebrates TRIB3Rs as they go from ‘hitting the wall’ on their first session to completing a huge 1,000 sessions and becoming one of our ‘Legends’.

What does the franchise package include?
Franchising with us is a true partnership. Our franchise package spans finance, business planning and operations with over 150 hours of dedicated training, as well as full property search, negotiation and design. We offer a seamless digital infrastructure alongside extensive sales, marketing and brand support.

How much does it cost?
You’ll need a minimum investment of £130,000 to own your own TRIB3 and we work with several major banks who can provide financing options. The initial franchise fee is £40,000 which covers a multitude of services to get you started including property search. Once your store is open, the franchise fee is 7% including a 1% contribution for marketing.

How many sites do you have?
TRIB3 operates in 11 international territories and boasts a growing portfolio of fitness stores and is aiming to have more than 20 by the end of 2022. The next phase of TRIB3’s expansion will see TRIB3 launch in London, not to mention other large UK cities such as Nottingham and Liverpool. Earlier this year, TRIB3 signed a deal which will see the first TRB3 stores launch in Greece and Cyprus this year. A third studio is also set to open in Manchester in 2022, and will add to the other two studios near its headquarters in Circle Square and the YOTEL in Deansgate.

Which consumer group/demographic is the franchise targeted at?
Our community is really diverse. We index strongly with females aged 27 to 32, which informs our property search. Our TRIB3Rs are also informed and discerning, looking for a deep, authentic connection with the brand. We are proud to offer one of the most inclusive but results-driven workouts out there.

What are the characteristics of the franchisee you’re looking to work with?
Our current franchisees are amazing, entrepreneurial people with a passion to be part of a booming, exciting industry. We’re proud to work with people who are looking to lead the change, be their own boss and have fun along the way.

TRIB3’s Sheffield studio was its first in the UK and burst onto the scene in 2016, merging experience and results into one incredible package. Since its launch the studio has gone from strength to strength, boasting a supportive and competitive community of TRIB3Rs which has raised almost £100,000 for charity.

Its latest fundraiser saw TRIB3 warriors take on a grueling 13.1-mile run through the city centre to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice, which supports 1,900 people with terminal illnesses every year, after completing a host of group training sessions at TRIB3 to get ready for the big day.

Speaking after the event, Paul Simpson from Sheffield’s TRIB3 said: “St Luke’s Hospice is a very important charity for the people of Sheffield. They offer unbelievable services to families and people that are dealing with life-threatening illnesses. What they do is priceless and we are so honoured to support their vital work.”

To date, TRIB3 has raised more than £100,000 for this Yorkshire charity.

Katie Kopka spent 15 years working in the learning and talent space and had been toying with the idea of franchising for a while when she spotted an article featuring TRIB3. Fitness has always been a part of Katie’s life and, a week after picking up the phone to speak with CEO Kevin Yates, was in Spain experiencing what TRIB3 is all about.

“It’s been great and a real impact in having their operational knowledge shared and having them part of the day to day store team from day one. I have weekly check-ins with operations to make sure we are all aligned. In terms of support I have received, it's been everything from finance, through to recruitment and property maintenance. Any support that's needed I pick up the phone,” said Katie.

“Day-to-day I’m a coach, towel washer, handyperson, social media manager, financial controller and whatever else may be needed that day. Franchising has opened up a whole new world and I have met some of the best people I ever will. The skills, knowledge and experience I’ve gained I have also applied into my other business and those are things you carry with you always.

“My plans for the future are to break even, make profit, open another site and repeat. The plan is to open more stores and take more of a back seat in the day to day operations.”

Plans for the next 12 months
European expansion remains strong but 2022 should see the launch of TRIB3 in the US. Central to TRIB3’s expansion and growth is the strengthening of the board with Rob Barker and Jordy Kool increasing their shares into the growing franchise business.

At the start of the year, TRIB3 announced a deal which saw it become one of the first fitness brands to launch into the metaverse. The cutting-edge partnership with OliveX means users in The Sandbox will be able to participate in TRIB3’s unique group workouts and earn their own NFTs.
