Salary: £38,553- £42,614 per annum.
37 hours per week


Your role

The BeWell team are committed to support the health and wellbeing of our residents across the Wigan Borough. Whether this be supporting our youngest residents embark on their first swimming lesson, supporting individuals and community groups with existing exercise and wellbeing programmes, or welcoming them to our outdoor recreational parks and facilities. We pride ourselves on offering an extensive and diverse range of activity to support our residents.

You will be responsible for the operational management of the BeWell leisure sites within your portfolio and will also be a key member of the wider Sport, Leisure and Wellbeing management team. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe environment in line with health and safety regulations to achieve a high-quality customer service experience.

About you:
You will be an energetic, positive, and engaging manager who will be required to drive the business forward by reviewing sales, footfall, whilst identifying and resolving any areas of improvement.

You will manage, coach, develop and inspire your leisure team, including succession, development planning and implementation of any HR processes when required.

You will manage all site budgets within your portfolio and have full knowledge of the financial performance of your facilities. Including setting and monitoring income / expenditure, whilst highlighting any areas of concerns and actions to senior management.

You will at times be required to work evenings, weekends, and unsociable hours in order to ensure all aspects of the business are effectively managed. This could include working on shift at any leisure facility to ensure service delivery is maintained to prevent any impact to our residents and customers.
