East Lothian Council has submitted plans to build three new third generation synthetic surfaces in the county along with a new six-lane athletics track based at the performance centre at Meadowmill.

The project also includes plans to refurbish and upgrade facilities at Meadowmill and re-surface two existing 'second-generation' hockey pitches.

The new 3G Pitches will be built in Haddington, Musselburgh and Tranent highlighting East Lothian Council's commitment to building localised sporting facilities in the heart of its communities.

The Councils contribution toward the legacy project will total 3.3m with the view of generating the remaining 1.5m.
