A spa resort in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland is to open in 2011.

The Adelboden Alpine Bath will combine a health spa and a hotel with panoramic Alpine views.

The spa will cover 61, 354sq ft (5,700sq m), of which 11,840sq ft (1,100sq m) will be water facilities.

It will also include 15 treatment rooms, 14 saunas, 21 mineral water swimming pools and a medical wellness centre, as well as several retail areas and a restaurant.
