BISL conference to take place in London on 19 November
The 13th Business in Sport and Leisure (BISL) Annual Conference and Exhibition is set to take place on Wednesday 19 November in London.
Being held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, the conference is designed to discuss current trends in the commercial sport and leisure industry, with the four themes for this year being gambling, red tape, the Olympic Games and grass roots sport and the licensing act.
Chief executive of London 2012, Keith Mills, will join the panel to discuss the Olympics, which includes chair of the British Olympic Committee, Craig Reedie as well as representatives of the mayor’s office and UK Sport.
Allan Leighton chair of the Post Office and also of Cannons Group, will speak about red tape and Lord Andrew McIntosh, minister with responsibility for gambling, will speak for the last time before parliament’s Joint Scrutiny Committee begins considering the new bill.
