Bellagio has commenced work on a US$40m (EUR32m, £25.3m) refurbishment of all 928 bedrooms and suites within the resort's Spa Tower in Las Vegas, US.
Due for completion by December, the scheme comes after a US$70m (EUR56m, £44.2m) overhaul of the 2,568 guest rooms in the main tower was completed in 2011.
Refurbished bedrooms will be available for reservation from September, while the new-look suites are available from November. MGM Resorts International Design Group is leading the project.
Three new executive hospitality suites will also be created as part of the work, which will span 2,500sq ft (232sq m) and house a billiards lounge and a home theatre living area.
Meanwhile, sustainable measures such as LED lighting in corridors and guest rooms will be implemented to ensure 60 per cent greater energy efficiency. A 180 per cent improvement in room air circulation is also anticipated.
Bellagio president and chief operating officer Randy Morton said: "The new designs and layouts of the suites are exquisite and complement the contemporary ambiance we’ve created throughout the resort."
Among the facilities at Bellagio is a spa and salon spread across 65,000sq ft (6,039sq m), which offers a full menu of massage therapies, face and body treatments and a fitness centre.
