Bodyflight adds Vertigo
The Bodyflight indoor skydiving centre in Bedford will introduce its first outdoor activity next month.
Visitors to the centre will be able to jump from the roof of the 120ft wind tower with the help of a fan descender, in order to simulate a parachute jump.
Called Bodyflight Vertigo, the new activity will enable divers to free-fall two thirds of the tower's height wearing a full body harness which has a cable attached to the back.
"We have become so busy since we opened in 2005 that it made sense to find new attractions to offer our customers," said Manager Bryony Doughty.
Located on the site of a former Ministry of Defence science facility, Bodyflight will further expand next year.
The centre will open a health and fitness club next spring, while plans also include introducing a range of sports activities.
