Soho-based Caffé Nero has announced good progress in the six months to 30 November 2005.

Revenue rose by 32 per cent to £43.4m compared with £32.8m in 2004.

Pre-tax profit increased by 384 per cent to £3.5m from £0.7m in the same period of 2004. Like-for-like sales also increased by 4.5 per cent, in line with expectations.

The new café opening programme is also on track, with 262 stores trading at the year end, exceeding the company’s target of 260. Details: www.caffenero.com
