Citrus Hotels has put One Devonshire Gardens, one of Scotland’s most prestigious hotels, up for sale for in excess of £8m.

The five-star property in Glasgow, which Citrus has invested £2m in refurbishing since acquiring it in 2002, won Conde Nast’s Most Excellent City Hotel award in 2005 and is a celebrity favourite.

One Devonshire Gardens currently boasts 35 deluxe bedrooms, but Citrus recently acquired the adjacent house number four, meaning the hotel could potentially be expanded to 50 rooms and occupy the entire terrace of five Victorian townhouses. House number four is currently undeveloped.
