Dreamworld sees growth in Chinese visitors
In anticipation of rapid growth in visitors from China, Gold Coast theme parks Dreamworld and WhiteWater World have doubled their Mandarin speaking guest services team.
Sales manager for the Australian parks, Erin Rolfe, said that in the last year China had surpassed Japan to become the park’s second largest international visitor source after New Zealand.
The park now boasts six Mandarin speakers, all international staff, from China, Singapore and Vietnam.
“China is a critical market for us and there is still enormous potential for growth. Our CEO, Stephen Gregg, visited the market in July this year and instantly saw the importance of having an expanded team to ensure our Chinese guests have the best possible experience in park,” said Rolfe. “
“We now have a team that not only loves interacting with our Chinese guests, but is able to help them choose the best activities for the day.”
