Duxton Hotel in Perth to undergo AU$100m facelift
The owners of the five star Duxton Hotel located in the CBD of Perth, Australia have proposed a AU$100m (£60m, €70m, US$92m) extension and renovation of the hotel.
Approval is currently being sought from the City of Perth to add nine floors to the existing 14 which will accommodate an additional 126 hotel rooms, day spa, 500-person ballroom, function rooms and bar areas.
Further plans include alterations to the ground floor entrance which will see the removal of the existing porte cochere and the construction of a new one. It will also feature a modified vehicle entrance and a new water fountain and landscaping.
Duxton Hotels International is owned by Singapore-based, Low Keng Huat and currently has two properties in Perth and Ho Chi Minh City.
