Ex-footballer to open first SHOKK énergie club

Former Blackpool and Tranmere Rovers footballer Mickey Mellon is due to open the first SHOKK énergie franchised club in Blackpool next year.

A qualified fitness instructor, Mellon will operate the facility with wife Jean, who is also a fitness trainer.

The new club will be around 3,500sq ft in size and facilities include a full SHOKK range of cv and resistance equipment and a juice bar.

Jan Spaticchia, chief executive, said: “The énergie SHOKK franchise is our latest product to launch and we will add a number of others in the next twelve months.”

The énergie Group now operates 32 sites and has a pipeline of over 30 investors currently looking for sites.
