FIA announces FLAME 2004 shortlist
The Fitness Industry Association has unveiled the finalists for this year’s FLAME awards; the awards created to recognise excellence within the health and fitness industry.
All the clubs and centres involved in FLAME have been visited by the judges, with those making the final round now set to be subject to a detailed customer satisfaction questionnaire conducted by Leisure Net Solutions.
Those sites which have made it to the shortlist are:
– Club of the Year (under 1,000 members):
GL-14 The Health Club, Manchester; Spirit Health Club, Hull; Lifestyle Health and Leisure Club, Hayling Island
– Club of the Year (1,000-2,500 members):
Branston Golf and Country Club, Branston; LA Fitness, Sutton Coldfield; Spirit Health Club, Fareham
– Club of the Year (over 2,500 members):
Amida Racquets and Fitness Spa, Beckenham; Lensbury at Teddington Lock, Teddington; LivingWell Premier, York
– Centre of the Year:
Andover Leisure Centre, Andover; White Horse Leisure and Tennis Centre, Abingdon; Malvern Splash, Hinckley
– Corporate Club of the Year:
‘Life’ at the Field of Dreams; Canary Wharf Health Club, London (managed by LivingWell); Lifestyle Woodlands – BBC Club, London
The winners of the awards, now in their tenth year, will be announced at the Fitpro Business Gala Dinner and the LIW/FIA/Fitpro Business convention at Birmingham NEC on 22 September 2004.
