The Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA) has finished work on the final masterplan for the London Olympic Park, with several new modifications to the original bid submission.

In the updated masterplan, which has been approved by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the volleyball events will now be held at Earls Court, rather than on the Olympic Park.

Volleyball’s move is to permit the relocation of the press centre (MPC) and broadcast centre (IBC) towards the north west of the park, away from the Stratford City development, the future of which is still uncertain at this stage.

Two of the three temporary western arenas will be replaced by the MPC and IBC, which will both be permanent buildings.

Further reshuffles include the movement of the velodrome and BMX track and the relocation of basketball, hockey, fencing, paralympic tennis and archery. Details: www.london2012.com
