Funded by the North West development Agency (NWDA) and headed by broadcaster, Felicity Goodey, the forum is made up of the five tourist boards that cover the region.
It aims to enhance the quality and range of existing facilities and attractions and has set an 10-year vision to make the North West one of the most successful tourist destination sin the UK.
Felicity Goodey, chair of TFEN, said: “This is the UK’s first Tourism Forum, a powerful group of industry experts with the skills, backing and connections to make the North West on to one of the most attractive destinations in Europe.”
TFEN celebrated its launch in Liverpool last month, in a reception hosted by the Mersey Partnership.
