‘Political Detox’: Four Seasons Washington spa to help capital’s population ‘find some peace or relief’
The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, D.C. is offering clients a "relaxing escape from the political chaos" with two treatments aimed to help guests relax after the US election earlier this week.
The Political Detox treatment is designed to “scrub away layers of election stress and anxiety that have taken hold of the skin,” and features Dead Sea salts blended with essential oils of rosemary and citrus.
The spa is suggesting guests pair this with an Election Escape, a complimentary add-on to any treatment 50 minutes or more that includes a scalp treatment, hand and feet revitaliser and aromatherapy.
The treatments originally debuted at the end of October in the run-up to the 8 November election, but Liliana Baldassari, the hotel’s director of public relations, said they will be extended until the end of the year given the climate in Washington.
“You can tell that the mood in the city has really changed,” Baldassari told The Washingtonian. “[We] want to make sure that we can offer people different ways of finding some peace or relief.”
