Freedom Leisure opens 3G pitch in Rye

Leisure trust Freedom Leisure has opened a new 3G artificial grass pitch at the leisure centre it manages in Rye, Sussex.

The floodlit, all-weather pitch has been funded by East Sussex County Council, Rye College and Rother District Council (RDC).

Councillor Deirdre Williams, RDC's member for sport, said: "The pitch will provide a first class football facility for the local community in Rye and surrounding area."
