The partnership that founded the global restaurant brand Nobu has formed a new hospitality group to develop a global collection of residences, hotels and resorts.

First to launch in mid-2010 will be the Nobu Hotel and Residences on the Herzliya Marina on Israel’s Mediterranean coast. The second location will be in Manhattan, New York, US.

Facilities at the first Nobu at Herzliya Marina will include an intimate Nobu Spa, designed by Nobu partner David Rockwell of the Rockwell Group and featuring a Japanese sauna.

The group intends to develop projects throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, North America and South America.

Nobu was started in 1994 by chef Nobu Matsuhisa and his partners, including actor Robert De Niro, producer Meir Teper and managing partner Richie Notar. Details: thenobuherzliya.com
