HCM Summit exhibition showcases leading innovations
It’s been a great morning at the sell-out HCM Summit in London, with six inspirational speakers on stage.
Delegates have so far had the privilege of hearing from co-founder of Future Practice and Pillar Wellbeing, Oli Patrick; COO of PureGym, Rebecca Passmore; FLG CEO, Greg Oliver; Total Fitness CEO, Sophie Lawler; GLL CEO, Peter Bundey and Six Senses strategic advisor, Anna Bjurstam.
Delegates are now taking a lunch and networking break, sponsored by Technogym, in the carefully-curated Exhibition of Innovation, featuring some of the most cutting-edge innovations around fitness and recovery.
Platinum Partner, EGYM is showcasing its Genius and Smart Strength solutions, as well as its newly launched 20th piece of equipment, the Smart Strength Squat.
“We’re proud to join the HCM Summit once again as Platinum Partner,” says founder, Philipp Roesch-Schlanderer, who is in attendance. “I wish all attendees a productive and inspiring summit and I look forward to the conversations and collaborations that will shape the future of our industry.”
Les Mills is sponsoring the After Party, and will be telling delegates about its latest programme, Bodypump Heavy, a tempo-based weightlifting class with traditional lifts, slow moves and long recoveries. It makes serious lifting fun and builds lean muscle.
Technogym, the Summit lunch sponsors, will be exhibiting Checkup, the AI-based device which uses physical and cognitive tests to assess biological age and create personalised training programmes with the Technogym AI Coach.
The world’s largest corporate wellness platform, used by more than 80,000 health and fitness businesses globally – Wellhub – is here as the HCM Summit lanyard partner.
Software specialists, bsport, will be showcasing its management platform which is used by more than 3,000 partners in 40 countries.
ServiceSport UK – used by Ministry of Defence, David Lloyd Leisure Nuffield Health and more to extend the life of kit – is on Stand 20. The company is able to service, maintain and repair equipment from all major brands.
Wellsystem has also joined us. The Wellsystem RedWave uses red and near-infrared light to boost recovery while the Wellsystem Hydrojets is a sensory massage table that blends AI technology with hydrotherapy to deliver an experience which rivals hands on massage.
Everyone is looking for personalisation now and FitnessGenes offers just that through a combination of DNA tests and AI. The FitnessGenes Pro service was introduced this year aimed at fitness operators. As a Summit offer, FitnessGenes is giving prospective partners the opportunity to trial five tests before committing to a full licence.
Once only used by elite athletes, hyperbaric oxygen therapy is now being adopted by wellness and high-end fitness operators. As well as boosting performance, it stimulates healing, reduces inflammation, optimises recovery and can be used as an additional income stream. Henshaw Hyperbarics have been leaders in this space for 30 years, working with eight Premiership football clubs, England and Welsh Rugby and luxury hotel spas including The Bulgari and The Berkeley.
KitBrix offers a range of modular, weather-tough bags designed to organise kit, with handy waterproof bottoms and a compartment to hold a drinks bottle up. Now a line of gym accessories is being launched: a sweat-dry bag that handles post-training or swim kit, separating wet from dry; a micro fast-drying compact towel; a change/hygiene mat and a wash-bag / amenities pouch.
Rituals is introducing Mind Oasis at the HCM Summit, an all-in-one multi-sensory wellbeing solution to create the ultimate environment for rest. Experiences include Hydro Massage on a warm waterbed, while red light therapy stimulates collagen. Brain Massage is a 30-minute experience to recharge mental energy, involving zero gravity, 4D sound and haptic vibrations.
HCM Summit is delighted to welcome Orca from Hangair. Incorporating NASA’s body-neutral research, this recovery platform puts users into a forward-tilting posture and gently rocks them against the backdrop of psychoacoustic soundscapes. In 20 minutes, Orca delivers the physiological equivalent of two to three hours of traditional rest, measured by metrics such as heart rate, breathing, HRV and more.
Splan’s Smart Gym uses a mirror with a touchscreen interface in place of traditional gym equipment. Users can select their exercise, adjust resistance from 2kg to 100kg and train across multiple movement patterns. Its minimal footprint makes it ideal for guest suites, wellness areas, or compact gym spaces. When not in use, it remains an elegant mirror.
Gym Twin by TwinLabs.ai gives valuable intel into how your members are using your facility. GDPR-compliant Vision AI magic plugs into the CCTV network to give a detailed view on how members interact with the space, allowing targeted investments based on what your members actually want.
Established in 1952, The World Leisure Organization (WLO) has been a partner of HCM magazine for 30 years. A global non-profit, it is committed to promoting leisure as a fundamental human right that enhances quality of life and fosters community wellbeing and offers initiatives such as the World Leisure Congress, Centers of Excellence, Communities of Excellence, Youth Ambassador programmes, position paper and research publications.

A vertical hydroponic farm has recently been installed at the new GlaxoSmithKline headquarters in London.
HCM also wishes to thank RX Exhibitions, organisers of the FIBO Show, for sponsoring the Speakers Dinner on Wednesday evening, which was a fantastic event hosted by the Raffles OWO, welcoming around 50 industry leaders including many of this year’s and last year’s speakers. FIBO takes place in Cologne from 16-19 April, and will once again be hosting the Longevity and Hospitality Summit.
