Hard Rock Hotel opens on Sentosa
Hard Rock International has opened the 360-room Hard Rock Hotel Singapore, part of Resorts World Sentosa, a US$4.4bn (£2.71bn, 3.1bn euro, SG$6.2bn) resort destination on Sentosa Island.
Opened earlier this month, the 49-hectare Resorts World Sentosa is Singapore's first integrated family resort destination and offers south east Asia's first Universal Studios theme park, the world's largest Marine Life Park, six hotels offering 1,800 rooms, more than 60 restaurants and a casino. The new hotel, which cost nearly US$223m (£137m, 159m euro, SG$313m), offers nine suites and 351 rooms, conference facilities with 26 meeting rooms and what is reported to be Asia's largest column-free ballrooms with seating for 7,300 guests.
Elsewhere are The Rock Pool, a focal area for both music and relaxation; Starz Restaurant, providing al fresco dining overlooking the Rock Pool; The Rock Bar, a lounge and bar complete with a DJ; and a restaurant featuring the Rang Mahal Group's latest Indian cuisine dining concept. Hard Rock Hotel Singapore on Sentosa Island joins Festive Hotel, Crockfords Tower, Hotel Michael, Equarius Hotel and Spa Villas as part of the new resort.
