Michael Hart has been appointed head of marketing and business development at Doncaster Dome.

Hart, who was the man responsible for enticing the Kaiser Chiefs and Radio One’s Chris Moyles to the Dome in February, started working for the facility as a lifeguard when he was just 15.

“I’ve been involved in this company for 16 years now and I have always enjoyed it. I’m delighted to have earned this promotion and I’m happy coming to work every day in a place I love,” he said.

“I’ve got experience in both the leisure and trading subsidiary companies and I’m committed to keeping The Dome at the forefront of leisure activity in Doncaster and the sub-region.”
