Indoor tennis resumes at St Albans facility

Indoor tennis provision has been restored at St Albans' Batchwood Golf and Tennis Centre, after the local authority installed a 'bubble' cover over three of the facility's outdoor courts.
The main building at the venue was severely damaged by fire two months ago and St Albans City and District Council (SACDC) has been working to make alternative arrangements.
Councillors have met with the Lawn Tennis Association to examine plans for reconstructing Batchwood Golf and Tennis Centre with improved facilities.
The air hall now in place at the venue will allow indoor play, while one of the outdoor courts has also been reopened. The golf course has already reopened at the site.
