Gwynedd moves forward with leisure review
Gwynedd Council's care scrutiny committee has backed plans to embark on the next phase of a strategic review into local sports and leisure services provision.
The committee also confirmed a number of "high-level outcomes" that the council will aim to achieve, including the promotion of healthy lifestyles and opening up opportunities. Gwynedd Council corporate director Dafydd Lewis said: "These priorities include ensuring that residents have access to a range of opportunities to undertake physical activities where everyone will buy into an active healthy lifestyle.
"During the next phase of the review, the working group will consider the kind of provision the council and its partners should secure to meet the aspirations that have been identified."
