Legend's mobile booking app for Serco leisure sites
Serco Leisure has implemented Legend Club Management Systems' mobile application for online bookings, reportedly the first organisation of its kind in the UK to offer the service.
The application allows Serco Leisure to provide its customers with an online booking facility via their smartphone. It is also fully integrated with the core Legend database, so Serco can see who uses the app to make a booking. Initial trials at three Serco-operated leisure centres saw a significant increase in the number of mobile bookings and this, together with much positive feedback from members, has led the company to roll the solution out nationally.
During the trials, members and non-members at Harborough Leisure Centre, Lutterworth Sports Centre and Basingstoke Aquadrome were able to use the system to book and pay for a range of facilities, including fitness classes, squash and badminton courts. Serco Leisure provides a range of health, leisure, fitness, wellbeing and community focused services, managing more than 65 leisure facilities on behalf of community leisure trusts, local authorities, Sport England and universities.
