Jetts UK empowers women to lift with new programme
Jetts UK has launched an Active Woman Lifting Club across its 22 gyms, designed to empower women to get into strength training.
Women’s strength training is seeing rapid growth, with a recent YouGov study showing that 13 per cent of female gym members now cite muscle building as their primary goal. However, it is currently appealing to a mainly younger demographic, with 25 per cent of strength training women aged between 25–34.
Active Woman Lifting Club has been developed to create a more inclusive and supportive environment for women to learn to lift, improve their technique, and build confidence in the weights area, which is often cited as intimidating by women.
Each session is led by a certified female Jetts coach and follows a progressive four-week cycle: learning the basics of lifting, building lower and upper body strength and developing core conditioning and confidence along the way.
Members can track their milestones with a progress card and are given optional challenges. Each class ends with a recovery moment with free samples and discounts from Jetts’ nutrition partner, Bio-Synergy.
Marisol Baltazar Nava, Head Coach at Jetts UK, said: “Jetts has always been about innovation and creating the best possible experience for our members. We built this brand around the idea of a gym that revolves around the member and the Active Woman Lifting Club is the next evolution of that. It’s empowering, inclusive, and adds real value for both our members and our business owners.”
