A new visitor attraction will open at the London Bridge in the heart of the UK capital in February 2008.

The new £2m attraction is owned by entrepreneur brothers Lee and Danny Scriven, who describe the attraction as “an educational experience with stunning visual effects.”

The development will offer visitors two distinct attractions – called The London Bridge Experience and the London Tombs.

In the London Bridge Experience, visitors are taken on a guided tour of the bridge’s history using a combination of special effects and character actors.

A 3D movie with computer-generated characters from the past will explain the times they lived in, while visitors will also be able to experience what it would have been like to cross the bridge over a number of different ages.

In the London Tombs, which is described as a walk-through dark ride, guests will learn of the bridge’s grisly history.

According to the owners, London Bridge Experience aims to attract around 300,000 visitors a year.

“We had a look and right away we could see the potential of using this unique location as a historical attraction.”

US-based Halloween Productions has been appointed to fit out the rides within the attraction.
