MUFC's parent company posts £109m loss

By Pete Hayman    04 Apr 2011

Red Football Joint Venture, the parent firm of Manchester United Football Club (MUFC), has reported a loss of nearly £109m for the year to July 2010.

According to the BBC, the figures include one-off costs involved with setting up a £526m bond scheme in January 2010 in order to replace debts totalling £509m. Income from player sales fell during the period, which compares with the previous year in which the sale of Cristiano Ronaldo helped generate £80m.
