Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group is set to open a new hotel and spa in Shanghai, China in March 2013.

Located on the banks of Huangpu River, Mandarin Oriental Pudong will feature 318 guestrooms and 44 suites.

The Mandarin Oriental spa will feature 13 spa suites including two couple's suites and two VIP suites.

Treatments at the spa will be inspired by traditional Chinese medicine. Signature therapies include Oriental Harmony, which involves a foot bath, a warm body scrub and a head and foot massage to balance the body.

A 25m indoor swimming pool and fitness centre will also be available to guest.

The resort will also house a 788sq m (8,482sq ft) Presidential Suite and 210 serviced apartments.

Dining options will include six restaurants and bars that will incorporate Chinese and Western inspired cuisine.

Other facilities include 11-function room, a ballroom, a Mandarin cake shop and a spa boutique.
