Marco Costanzi tapped to design Fendi Residences in Arizona
Fendi, the Rome-based prêt-à-porter fashion house that first brought the late German couturier Karl Lagerfeld into the public eye, will open 41 branded residences in Arizona.
Set to rise on the premises of the Palmeraie, a 122-acre luxury development taking shape in Scottsdale, the condos will be designed by Italian architecture firm Marco Costanzi, who also created the Fendi Private Suites in Rome.
According to the architects, wellness and leisure amenities at the six-storey property will include a fitness centre, meditation garden, indoor and outdoor pools, and a spa.
Residents will also have access to a private cinema and art studio.
The complex, which will be positioned amid boutiques, restaurants, and foliaged areas that blur the "lines between architecture, landscape, and human interaction", is slated to be completed in 2020.
Speaking on the estimated US$2bn (€1.8bn, £1.5bn) Palmeraie project, Jerry Ayoub, president and CEO of Five Star Development, the property’s developer, said: "The world's global leaders in fashion and culinary are taking notice of what we are creating here at The Palmeraie.
"Scottsdale is emerging as a key, important strategic global destination."
