Universal Orlando building totally tropical hotel
Universal Orlando has announced it will open a Caribbean-inspired resort accommodation in summer 2016. With a casual, tropical vibe, visitors can expect to relax in the surrounds of a lagoon, waterfall, swimming pool with waterslide and sandy “beach”.
The 1,000-room Loews Sapphire Falls Resort will become the park’s fifth hotel, boosting Universal Orlando’s room count to 5,200. Other facilities include a restaurant with outdoor dining, poolside bar and grill, fitness centre, valet service and Caribbean-themed lobby.
Sapphire Falls guests will be granted early-bird admission to the park.
“Our guests repeatedly tell us that our Universal Orlando on-site hotels provide them a completely immersive holiday experience from the moment they enter our hotels and are transported to another place,” said Tom Williams, Universal Parks chairman and CEO. “We look forward to bringing them yet another incredibly themed experience with the opening of Loews Sapphire Falls Resort.”
The Cabana Bay Beach Resort at Universal Orlando, also operated by Loews, opened in April this year, with 1,800 rooms – 900 family suites and 900 standard guest rooms.
