Myzone and Star Trac team up for spinning event
Club retention and management systems provider Myzone teamed up with supplier Star Trac and operator Nuffield Health to host the largest ever public spinning event on 28 July.
More than 600 people visited Montgomery Square in Canary Wharf, London to take part in one of the eight available 45 minute spinning classes running throughout the day.
Participants were the first in the UK to experience the benefits of incorporating the new Myzone system into their workout, as they were put through their paces on Star Trac Spinner NXT bikes.
Myzone is a telemetry system which monitors heart rate to measure expenditure and effort. It has been designed to help fitness facilities and personal trainers to attract and retain members by providing tangible evidence of the results gained through regular exercise.
Dave Wright, the creator of Myzone, said: "It's important for gyms and fitness facilities to provide accurate real-time monitoring to their clients, while offering them rewards for their effort.
"Unless you are working with a personal trainer, it's hard to put 100% into each and every workout, but with Myzone you've got to increase your effort to reap the rewards."
