New £160,000 football pitches for Thurmaston

Two football pitches are to reopen in Thurmaston, Leicestershire - five years after the facilities were shut due to health and safety concerned.

The pitches were rebuilt by Herbert Baggaley Construction as part of a £160,000 scheme funded by ASDA and Charnwood Borough Council (CBC). CBC has handed the new pitches over to Thurmaston Parish Council, with the facilities now coming towards the end of a six-week irrigation and bedding in period.
