Renaissance Hotels debuts in Aix
Renaissance Hotels has announced the addition of the Renaissance Aix-en-Provence Hotel to its portfolio of properties in France.
Designed by Marseilles-based architects Claude Sabin Nadjari and Rémy Saada, the 133-key, 5-star hotel is situated in the town's new Forum Culturel district and features interior design by Julie Fuillet of the From Here to There studio.
A theme of bespoke craft is employed throughout the hotel, with exclusive pieces of furniture created by French designer Christian Ghion. Guests can also enjoy a collection of more than 400 pieces of contemporary art, curated by Isabelle Viatte of the Via Crea agency.
Facilities at the Renaissance Aix-en-Provence include two restaurants and a bar, with Le Clos being a gourmet 40-cover Mediterranean restaurant, Le Comptoir du Clos a bistro with a terrace of views of Provence, and the L'Avant-Scène a bar offering the company's signature RLife LIVE entertainment programme.
The hotel's YMALIA Spa offers exclusive treatments by Cosmébio, with relaxation therapy being combined with the latest facial modelling techniques.
Elsewhere are an indoor swimming pool, sauna, fitness centre and 700sq m (7,500sq ft) of meeting space within seven rooms.
The Renaissance Aix-en-Provence joins four other hotels operated by the company in France - the Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe Hotel, Renaissance Paris Le Parc Trocadero Hotel, Renaissance Paris Vendome Hotel and the Renaissance Paris La Defense Hotel.
