Stephen Wheeler has been appointed as executive chef for the new Wembley Stadium.

He joins the Wembley team following five years as executive chef at Harrods, where he was responsible for the 22 restaurants and banqueting facilities.

He has also held executive positions at Conran’s Blue Bird restaurant and Sopwell House Hotel in Hertfordshire.

Wheeler will remain at his current position, the Grove Hotel, until early 2005, when he will begin at Wembley.
