The Pacific Waters Spa in Southern California is now offering tech therapies to provide guests with a holistic range of treatments to complement the existing menu of hands-on therapies.

Adam Estrella, area spa director, said: “A key industry trend right now is the integration of high-tech treatments with holistic experiences that cater to both physical and mental wellbeing.

"Layering these new therapies with our current menu of spa wellness treatments will create a truly transformative wellness experience," Estrella added. "These treatments that combine the best of modern technology with natural healing practices are designed to help our guests feel restored, relaxed and revitalised – enhancing both their bodies and minds.”

The new treatments at the 20,000sq ft spa, which is located in the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort, include sessions in a Halosauna with infrared technology and salt inhalation therapy by Halotherapy Solutions.

To improve circulation and relieve pain, the spa has also introduced Acaven – a technology that uses negative pressure and heat to stimulate blood flow, reduce inflammation and relieve tension. Guests put their hands in a special mitt, within a vacuum chamber for 20 minutes.

Lumanova has supplied the spa with the Lumanova Pod Pro, which is a bed that provides red light therapy, to improve cellular function.

Lumanova’s Luma D Light is in use at the property, designed to stimulate vitamin D synthesis by harnessing UBV light.

Pacific Waters Spa also features the Therabody Zero Gravity Experience, where guests sit wear the brand’s Recovery Air Jet Boots for a lymphatic drainage pressure massage. Users wear Therabody’s Smart Goggles – an eye mask that delivers an eye and temple massage – while lying on the Zero Gravity Therabody Lounger for a fully immersive experience. The collection of technologies on offer during this therapy is designed to induce a deep state of relaxation.

The Sedona PEMF Mat, by Sedona Wellness, which uses pulsed electromagnetic field technology, is also now available at the spa for guests seeking further recovery and improvements to their quality of sleep. The non-invasive therapy is designed to improve circulation, reduce inflammation and stimulate the body’s cells. Sessions are thirty minutes.
