Palace Merano to unveil new Revital Spa on 25 February
Luxury five-star hotel and wellness facility, Palace Merano, will re-open its doors this February after totally renovating its Revital Spa.
The refreshed 1,200sq m spa is just one facet of the hotel’s 6,000sq m health and wellness centre which provides medi-wellness and preventative health treatments, conducted by a team of medical specialists.
The spa is located in the famed Italian spa town of Merano that’s home to a host of public bathing facilities powered by its famous healing mineral water. The Merano spa was the flagship site for the late spa industry legend Henri Chenot and his company The Chenot Group from 1980 until 2020.
A new look
Carried out by interior designer Michel Jouannet, the Revital Spa has undergone a complete redesign. Using materials such as beige marble, limestone and Afrormosia wood, the renovation focused on promoting light and space to create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
The refurb has updated its treatment rooms, fitness room, common areas, hairdressing salon and boutique.
The spa’s previous 25 massage cabins have been condensed into 18 spacious and bright cabins. Bathed in natural light, each cabin is decorated in soft tones, with insulated doors that keep out any exterior noise.
In addition, the two treatment rooms dedicated to scalp treatments have been fully renovated, along with the area used for manicures and pedicures.
Once the spa reopens, its boutique will stock the new Revital by Piroche Cosmétiques line, made in Merano.
The new-look facility is also home to a new 160sq m fitness room equipped by Technogym. This is complete with large panoramic windows overlooking the park and the outdoor pool.
The wider facilityPalace Merano’s extensive wellness centre is split into seven departments: beauty and spa treatments, medical diagnostic testing and disciplines – ranging from physiotherapy to colon hydrotherapy, bioenergetics, dietetics, hydro-mud therapy, aesthetic medical treatments and wellness and fitness.
The Revital Spa forms part of Palace Merano’s 1,800sq m wellness area. This includes an indoor pool with a Jacuzzi, a women’s wellness area, a sauna, a Turkish bath, a Kneipp path and an outdoor pool and bar serving herbal teas and organic juices.
Meanwhile, the hotel’s 1,500sq m medical department occupies the fifth floor, where more than 60 professionals work – including medical specialists, aesthetic doctors, nutritionists, alternative practitioners, physiotherapists, osteopaths and nurses.
