Peterborough stadium plans put on show
Plans for the first stages of Peterborough's community stadium development have been put on display at Peterborough United Football Club's (PUFC) London Road ground.
A public exhibition took place on 24 May to enable local residents to explore the proposals, which include the replacement of the venue's Moys End stand with a new 2,500-seat structure. The new stand will also feature a 3,000sq m (32,292sq ft) science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) centre to provide specialist education for 14-to-19-year-olds.
Peterborough City Council (PCC) is leading the scheme as the owner of the freehold of the London Road stadium. Frank Whittle Partnership are the project architects. PCC leader Marco Cereste said: "The current Moys End stand is outdated so we are pleased to be investing in a first-class stand and education facility, which will be a great asset for the football club and the city."
