Ramsay to open restaurant in Ireland
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay is set to open a signature restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton Powerscourt hotel in County Wicklow, which is due to open this autumn.
The restaurant will seat 140 guests and will offer terrace dining as well as private dining rooms. Ramsay will also provide a menu service for weddings and special events.
The new hotel, scheduled to open by the end of the year, will also comprise 201 bedrooms and a lobby lounge as well as a bar and a traditional Irish pub.
Additional facilities will include a spa equipped with twenty treatment rooms, two golf courses and function rooms to accommodate up to 1,000 guests.
Andrew Nasskau, general manager of The Ritz-Carlton Powerscourt, said: “Partnering with Gordon sits perfectly with our plans for the hotel – ensuring we offer our guests a truly memorable dining experience.”
Gordon Ramsay added: “It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to open in Ireland and in such beautiful surroundings as the Powerscourt Estate. Ireland is internationally renowned for the quality of its food and the warmth of its hospitality, so we are committed to providing an amazing dining experience in this magnificent setting.” Details: www.ritzcarlton.com
