Reuben brothers look to take over Arena

Racecourse operator Arena Leisure has confirmed this week that it has received a proposal from the billionaire Reuben brothers regarding a possible offer for the company.

Simon and David Reuben already own almost 30 per cent of the company, which currently stages more than a quarter of all horseracing fixtures in the UK each year.

The brothers, who also own Northern Racing, have until 18 October 2011 to announce their offer.
